Sonic 2 Westside Plus is a hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 that aims to give the beloved game a visual and sound overhaul. Play as Sonic or Miles "Tails" Prower and travel through the four zones featured in this demo to stop Dr. Eggman and save Westside Island! The zones featured are:
Emerald Hill Zone
Chemical Plant Zone
Casino Night Zone
Oil Ocean Zone
Please note that this hack is in a very early state of development. Expect there to be a few bugs!

Hey, I just noticed something, when I entered Cyber City in the Level Select, it was a glitchy mess!
Small heads up, the vanilla S2 cheats are not disabled and very much so not "developer only"
We are aware of this. The "DEVELOPER ONLY" text is a leftover from when we weren't going to include the level select.
So far the changes are so subtle and minimal that might as well be playing vanilla Sonic 2.
BUT! There are still details to look at, if you pay attention, from some new sprites for monitors to Tails being drunk (!!?) at Casino Night Zone :D

Pretty bare at the moment, but I really enjoy the visual changes. Gives Sonic 2 some distinct visual identity that, in my opinion, it was kind of lacking in compared to its predecessor. And that song for Oil Ocean... Just marvelous.
My only gripes (read: nitpicks) are that Emerald Hill Zone sounds a little weird, and that I question the use of the prototype layouts for that zone. Feels kind of unnecessary.
This hack is really amazing and fantastic I don't care about the bugs it's peak as heck bro 10/10 just imagine this on Sonic 2 Absolute man that would be more hyped
i could say that it hasn't disappointed me but I was really expecting much more, some visual aspects and ehz layout could be improved
