These contact methods are not to be used for the following purposes:
- Requesting assistance for hacking or modding Sonic games; please refer to other dedicated communities to obtain support for hacking and modding Sonic games.
- Applying for a Staff or associate position; you should apply only if and whenever applications are open, through the publicly advertised forms. If applications are not open to the public for your desired position, Staff will reach out to you if you are deemed suitable.
Please be aware that abuse of the listed contact methods may result in your correspondence being ignored, and, in extreme cases, you being banned or blocked from further using said method(s) of contact.
Discord: our Discord server features a ModMail bot, which will allow you to directly speak with our in-server Staff. If your support request requires the attention of an out-of-server Staff member, we will make sure to relay all information given to them. You do not need to complete the in-server checkpoint to use the ModMail bot, but you may have to cross the automated Titanus security checkpoint. Please review the utility's Privacy Policy. All information obtained from the Titanus security checkpoint is kept confidential.
Email: our official email address for public correspondence is shc<.>zone<.>site<@>gmail.com (without the “<>”s). Correspondence sent through this email address will be sent directly to the organizers of the Sonic Hacking Contest, and, if necessary, relayed to the remainder of SHC Staff and select associates.
Bluesky: usage of the account is limited to promoting major events of the Sonic Hacking Contest. While we do occasionally check on DMs, do not expect swift response times.
Twitter/X: for the same reasons as our Bluesky account, we can not guarantee swift response times for our Twitter/X account.
Direct Messages: this contact method should be used as a last resort. Select staff members may accept direct messages related to the Sonic Hacking Contest on select communication platforms. We can not guarantee that your inquiry will be addressed, and individual members of SHC Staff retain the right to reject SHC-related private messages.
